In a new policy update just released by Crown Center, they have announced that they will no longer permit individuals to run through the fountains. This policy change comes after concerns over public safety and welfare. There are growing concerns about the potential increase for accidents, or for exposure to water-borne health issues. The facility was never designed to be public pool or water area.
Kansas City kids, families, and visitors will still be able to enjoy the fountains through periodic special events and programming. They will continue to operate with water displays and with music recorded by the Kansas City Symphony, so visitors can still enjoy the fountains – just not run through them any more.
Will this affect how often or why you visit Crown Center?
