Deanna Rose Farmstead Baby Goat Blanket Drive

Our friends at Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead recently announced they are seeking donations of used, but clean, blankets and towels for their new baby goats who will call the Farmstead home this winter.

Blankets may be delivered now through mid-February at the East Entrance at the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead which is located at 13800 Switzer (South of 135th St. & Switzer) in Overland Park, Kansas.  Signage for the drop-off site will be visible from the East Parking lot.

This is a great service project to engage your children in to help them take part in ensuring these tiny loveable animals stay warm!  As always, the Farmstead will reopen for its 2012 season on April 1, 2012.

What a great idea! I just did a major clean out of our linen closet and was wondering what I was going to do with our surplus of blankets. Do you happen to know if they are taking comforters, too?

Aww! Baby goats are one of my favorite things! This is a great way to get kids thinking about others. While we are warm and cozy in our homes, animals count on us to look out for them. We will be going through what we have too.
